Somethin’ Stupid
Uncategorized June 21st, 2006Somebody had told me ‘something-stupid’ this night. I laughed, and I wrote ‘another-thing-more-stupid’ for her. Fiuh…. Truth-revealing is coming so fast, out of control– just in looks. But I am glad, our races is still on the track. And suddenly, I remember this sad-story.
***
"Once upon a time in Russia, a young-couple lived in their beautiful house. The husband loved his wife and vice-versa. One day, the King asked all men serving his country as soldiers. The country was under attack. So, the husband left his lovely-wife due to his loyalty.
Far far away from his homeland, the husband was captured and jailed by the enemies. Nothing could be informed to his wife. Nobody knew what had happened to this man. When the war was over four years later, the wife still couldn’t find her heart-pieces. Many friends told her about death. But, she denied it. She believed that his husband was still alive. Every night, she served a dinner in the dining room. She cooked what his husband loved to eat. She had been waiting and waiting, and began to fall asleep till sunrise, hoping that her beloved-husband will enter the door, smiling and of course, coming alive. She did that day by day.
The man who had been captured in enemy’s hand was in his runaway journey. Wearing wacky clothes, untreated looks. He was chasing his way home, imagining his wife waiting in front of him. The husband arrived in his house. It was late night. When he was close to the door, he saw from window a head lied down in dining table. It was his wife. She’s still as beautiful as he remembered four years ago. But, he was surprised when he saw meal served in the table. Suddenly, he thought, “Oh, my God, I left you these 4 years with nothing. I know, how sorrow it became”.
He looked to himself and said, “I’m wondering that you still recognize me or maybe you think I was dead, years ago”. “And, yaah..” Suddenly he thought, “You might be needed a new man to protect you. And now, you must be waiting your new husband for coming.” The man said that word sadly. He thought that the food are served for somebody -his wife’s new husband-. He assumed that if he entered the house, he would ruin his wife’s new-life. “I think its better for me to go, leaving you with your new happiness. I love you, and I don’t want to destroy your life pieces anymore”
Nobody knew about this man arrival. In the morning, when the women woke up, she cleaned the table. The food she cooked was still same, untouched. She continued his life like usual. Doing any housewife-work, watering flower she ever planted with his husband, etc. She’s still in her faith. The man she loved would comeback in her life”

Sounds stupid? Sometimes I think so, but it teaches me a lot about "honesty". Being honest means that you say what exactly and actually happened to others. Your silence might be meaning a lot. Just imagine if the man chose entering the house, waking his wife up, and tell her who he was. So, this story will be a happy-ending story. But, silence killed everything: the women’s long waiting, the man’s bloody escape.
Who knows, something you keep can affect other’s life. Tell them what is in your head. Even it’s hard, truth can be a best way overcoming problems and clouds. And I’ve just learned that, from thing happened last night.
Thanks for you who taught me this lesson!
